Brad is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Shuttle, a multi-billion dollar family of investment companies focused on disruptive technologies such as bitcoin. Brad comes from a robust high tech and finance background; he has not only worked as a polyglot developer in startups in silicon valley and Boston, but has also held senior banking and trading roles at powerhouses such as GE Capital, Deutsche Bank, and Reservoir Capital. Brad started mining bitcoin in 2010 after reading about it on Slashdot and by the end of 2013, he refocused all his efforts towards building and investing into blockchain technologies and related infrastructure.
Brad believes that innovations in blockchains are experiments in trust, identity, wealth distribution, and social governance. Brad’s vision of the future includes a singular global economy unencumbered by artificial friction in trade, powered by blockchains, where everyone works together for the betterment of humanity rather than for themselves.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with concentrations in Computer Science, Finance, and Strategic Operations Management from Boston College, a Master of Science degree in Finance from Pace University, a Certificate in Start-up Engineering from Stanford University, and a Certificate in Cybersecurity from Harvard University.
